TEWWG Unit Essay

Their Eyes Were Watching God (TEWWG) is a book we read in English. Each book we read was considered a "unit" in our class, and for the end, we had to write an essay about the book or a related topic. This essay of mine has the highest score of all of my essays that I've written in English, so I'm proud of it. The essay is about Janie, the main character of TEWWG, and her journey to self-worth. I spent a long time looking at both the book's story and themes in order to come up with this topic.

Physics Science Fair

My science fair board for Physics is my highest score of all of my boards. I received first place for it, which I am very proud of. My project consisted of the idea of using sprinklers as a fire shield for houses. By creating a physical barrier of water between the fire and house, it would theoretically prevent it from spreading. There was a very bad fire season right before the science fair, so I took my idea from that. The board is unfortunately gone, but the printouts still exist.

Calculus 3 Final

My Calculus 3 experience was quite interesting. Not only was it entirely online, but the final consisted of demonstrating how to write a math paper. We had to describe either a proof of one of the theorems we used or demonstrate how to solve an equation using one. I thought to add it here because of the concept of using it as a final was much more thought provoking than a simple test. Describing how to do math is very different from doing it. I believe that this skill is important for not only a deeper understanding of how to do the math, but also how it works.
